Meisner Intensive Description:

This intensive is designed to grant actors access to their impulsive, emotional instrument. In three, two-hour class periods It provides the tools necessary develop that access. Students are immersed in Meisner’s carefully designed, structured pedagogy. This structure leads actors through a series of exercises that gradually increase the actor’s sensitivity to their scene partner’s behavior. Actors are trained to respond to their partner’s behavior impulsively and immediately.

This is an intensive. It’s intense. The rate at which we’ll be moving may frustrate people. People may not absorb everything at first. If you can embrace that chaos, if you desire a hyper-present instrument, if you want the tool to unlock truth on stage this intensive is for you.

“What you do doesn’t depend on you; it depends on the other fellow.” Sanford Meisner
