100.00

Mondays 7pm-8:30

January 22nd - February 26th (6 weeks)

Class Description:

Taken Improv before and know all the basics? Ready to stretch your improvisational muscles and get deeper into improv? In this course, we’ll take all of the core techniques learned in “Getting Into Improv” and use them to create rich scenes that engage an audience.  We'll work on building ensemble through long form improvisation. Students will leave this course with a comprehension of how to make solid offers that enrich a scene's characters, relationships, and environment. The course will tackle those “what-to-do-when-you-feel-lost” moments and help prepare you to steer your scenes in a dynamic direction.

Instructor: Jessica MacMaster

Jessica MacMaster has been improvising her whole life. But so have you. She started seriously studying improv 10 years ago when she began performing with the Swinging Johnson Brothers in Denver. Now, a co-founder of the Comedy Brewers in Fort Collins, JMac performs for private events and at the Bas Bleu Theater where she also taught improv workshops. She can be seen performing in ‘mainstage’ shows at Openstage Theatre Company, Bas Bleu Theatre Company, and The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show. It is also JMac’s first year co-producing the Fort Collins Fringe Festival. Jessica’s objective is to cultivate others’ innate creativity through designing a fun, supportive environment to let it all out.
